Green Building

Ausonio has built several projects using “Green” (sustainable) building techniques. While many clients are at first drawn to Green Building for reasons of principle, they also find that Green Building makes sense economically. A Green building can substantially cut operational costs while at the same time increasing the comfort and health of the occupants. As a result, the building tends to have increased value.

At Chartwell School in Seaside, CA, we implemented many Green Building programs. While numerous contractors have built LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) buildings, Ausonio's construction of Chartwell School has earned it a LEED Platinum status, the highest honor. On this project, Ausonio used more than 14 different innovations in construction materials and techniques. As a member of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS), we are dedicated to designing and building schools that support the most effective learning environment, and Chartwell is featured by CHPS as one of its model schools.

Ausonio is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has a LEED Accredited professional on staff, as well as a certified Green Building professional. Our team offers the experience you need to select Green Building options that are most cost-effective and appropriate for your project.
