The proposed project consists of renovation of the existing Freeman Stadium. The renovation will comply with National and International standards to host National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and United Soccer League (USL) soccer games. The project will include the installation of 90,000 sq ft synthetic turf atop the existing field, adding about 5,700 new stadium seats, installing goal end seating of approx.. 7,600sf, installation of new stadium lights, a new scoreboard, installation of a press box at the south side. Permanent concession stands which will be constructed out of shipping containers, and general site improvements. The facility can accommodate up t 6,900 occupants at a soccer game and an additional 3,600 occupants at special events on the field. Egress gate and safe dispersal area can accommodate maximum occupancy of 10,500 occupants.
