The project consisted of the renovation of the existing Freeman Stadium. The renovation complied with National and International standards to host National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and United Soccer League (USL) soccer games. The project included the installation of 90,000 sq ft synthetic turf atop the existing field, adding about 5,700 new stadium seats, and installing goal end seating of approx. 7,600sf, installation of new stadium lights, a new scoreboard, and installation of a press box at the south side. Permanent concession stands, which were constructed out of shipping containers, and general site improvements. The facility can accommodate up to 6,900 occupants at a soccer game and an additional 3,600 occupants at special events on the field. The egress gate and safe dispersal area can accommodate a maximum occupancy of 10,500 occupants.
